These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kiao. By creating an account or using Kiao, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you are legally allowed to use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kiao. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your Account and Profile

You are responsible for your account and activity. Do not share your account, impersonate others, create fake profiles, use another person's photos without permission, or misrepresent who you are. Your main profile photo should show your own face clearly, especially when using verification, Browse, live video, random calls, and matching features.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, spam, scam, stalk, dox, blackmail, or harm other users. You must not upload or send illegal, nude, sexually explicit, hateful, violent, exploitative, deceptive, or otherwise unsafe content. You must not attempt to bypass verification, subscription limits, safety systems, account restrictions, or backend rules.

4. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

Kiao has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior, including nudity, sexual content, harassment, threats, exploitation, child sexual abuse material, scams, and hate. Kiao may use automated systems, on-device analysis, server-side moderation, reports, and manual review to enforce these rules.

Users can report or block anyone at any time. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and act within 24 hours by removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, banning accounts, or taking other safety actions. Accounts that violate these rules may be permanently banned. We report child sexual abuse material to appropriate authorities where required.

5. Video Calls, Random Calls, Browse, and Chat

Kiao is designed around live video calls before chat. You are responsible for your behavior during calls and messages. We do not guarantee that every call will connect, that every user will respond, that every match will continue, or that every interaction will be safe or successful. Use caution when interacting with people online and do not share sensitive personal, financial, or security information.

6. Verification

Kiao may require face or profile verification before you can access features such as Browse, live video calls, random calls, and post-call matching. Verification may compare a live selfie with your main profile photo. Verification is used to reduce fake profiles and misuse, but it is not a guarantee of any user's legal identity, background, intentions, or safety.

If you change your main profile photo, fail verification, attempt to bypass verification, or violate our rules, we may remove your verified status or require you to verify again.

7. Subscriptions and Purchases

Kiao may offer paid subscriptions such as Kiao+ or Kiao Pro through Apple in-app purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account settings before renewal. Apple handles payment processing, billing, refunds, and cancellation management according to Apple's rules. Subscription features may change over time, but we will not intentionally remove already-paid access during the active paid period except where required for safety, legal, technical, or policy reasons.

8. Your Content

You keep ownership of content you submit, but you grant Kiao a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, process, moderate, adapt for technical display, and use that content to operate, protect, and improve the app. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content.

9. Safety and Offline Interactions

Kiao does not conduct criminal background checks and does not verify every statement users make. Be careful when meeting or communicating with people. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust, and report suspicious or unsafe behavior in the app.

10. Account Restrictions and Removal

We may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts for violating these Terms, creating risk to users, abusing the service, attempting to bypass security, or causing technical or legal risk. You may delete your account in the app settings.

11. Service Availability

Kiao is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every device or network, successful TURN/WebRTC connectivity, availability of every feature in every region, or any specific relationship outcome.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Kiao is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal disputes, offline interactions, or third-party conduct arising from your use of the app.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
